I am super excited to share my latest summer crochet project with you all. I recently completed a stunning crochet bikini top and bottom set, and let me tell you, it’s a real showstopper!
I stumbled upon this gem of a pattern on Ella’s Crochet World YouTube channel. The tutorial was beginner-friendly, and even though there wasn’t much information in the video description, the audio tutorial was crystal clear, making it a breeze to follow along.
The original design was crafted using yellow cotton yarn and a 2.5-millimeter hook. However, I decided to put my spin on it by using red and multicolored (rainbow) cotton threads from Aunt Lydia’s size 10 collection and my 0.95mm hook. I absolutely adore working with this brand and size, and the vibrant colors really brought the design to life.
One thing to note is that the original set was smaller than what I typically make. Since I didn’t have anyone specific in mind to gift it to, I decided to make it a bit larger. After all, my close relatives and friends tend to wear bigger sizes, and I wanted to ensure it would fit comfortably.
I’m thrilled with how this project turned out, and I can’t wait to see whomever I gift it to rock this stunning bikini set at the beach this summer.
