Inspired to Give Myself a Confidence Boost

“You won’t become confident overnight. Nothing worth anything comes together instantly. You build your confidence step by step.” – Ant Middleton

I love this quote. As a matter of fact, it has inspired me to work on my mental fitness, focusing mainly on building my confidence. I am starting TODAY, the first day in May 2022 (the month of my birth *smiles*).

The people who know me may read this and go, HUH! I would understand why though. I have been doing media sales since May 2004, and as such one would think that I should have all the confidence in the world. But it goes back to the quote above. “…build your confidence step by step.”

According to teljeunes.com, “This is the foundation of self-esteem. If we feel secure with our family, if we feel loved and our needs are met, our self-esteem develops. That’s when we try to take our place and dare to try new things and new experiences. For example, when we learn to walk, we fall down the first few times, but with encouragement, we develop our confidence and try again!”

That being said, let us continue to work on developing our confidence. This has nothing to do with being perfect. It is about doing things over and over until we get them right or even close to right. If you fall, rise again and keep it going. Pushing yourself is the only way to get to higher heights.
