My busy but wonderful week!!
Hello everyone, how have you been? I do hope your week was all that you wanted it to be, after all we did decide that we are going to make the best of each day and make the days what we want them to be…we will rejoice and be exceedingly glad that the Powers that be has given us the privilege to live; loves, protects, provides for us and more!!! What a love and joy. I feel like shouting a praise!!
Anyways, my week was awesome!!! The joy I am experiencing started last Friday, December 7, when Vehnom (artiste I manage) released his new R&B/Pop single “One Last Time”, which is available at all digital stores and distributed by Zojak World Wide.
This was followed by a few wonderful days spent with my Floridian Reggae Artiste Gia Yee (public relations client), who is in Jamaica promoting her rich reggae fusion album “Reggae Prescription” which was launched in August 2018. I have been working with Gia for about two years as a publicist and didn’t meet her until Tuesday of this week…can you imagine how happy we were? Yes, it was a joy to meet her, as she is really a beautiful and wonderful person, writer and singer…she motivates me.

So Gia performed this past Tuesday at Reggae Yaad – Jo Jo’s Jerk Pit, 12 Waterloo Road in Kingston, Jamaica and I had a blast listening and watching her perform…it was her first time performing in Jamaica and she was happy to receive nothing but love and support from the audience. Big respect to Nichole and Shinado of Reggae Release for making this possible.
By Wednesday morning we were back on the road and visiting media houses for introductions and interviews. Thanks to Suncity 104.9 FM in Portmore for adding her album to their playlist and to Roots 96.1 FM, especially the host Phillip Lobban of the Musicphill Reggae Show and Musicphill Music Promotions for a wonderful interview…he genuinely loves Gia’s music and has been playing the album since the day it was launched. You can check out his show at 5 pm on Wednesdays.

On Thursday morning at 7:45 am, Gia was interviewed by Radio Broadcasters, Francois St. Juste and Paula-Ann Porter-Jones at RJR Jamaica about her trip to Jamaica and of course her new album.

After the interview, we (including her partner and album producer Kirk Gayle, better known as Neil Keys of the popular Live Wyya Band and featured on Gia’s single “Yo Rasta”) traveled back to their hotel, where we met Actress Victoria Rowell…oh wow!! We introduced ourselves and engaged her in dialogue (what a powerful, talented and woman she is…she motivates me.) She listened Gia’s album and really liked it…yep!

Then comes Friday, wow what a day!! So early Friday morning I was up promoting both Vehnom and Gia Yee via social media to invited people to tune in to their interviews…at no time before did two of my artistes get interviews on the same day…can you imagine how much promotion I had to be doing on social media, including WhatsApp promotion? At the end of the day I was pleased with both artistes, who continue to represent themselves well in the public via the media.
I love it…yes it turned out to be a wonderful week, but I am slowing things down today…I still have to work, but I am relaxing more as I can’t afford to be burnt out…haha…more to come for both Gia Yee and Vehnom, but also look out for Reggae Singer and Songwriter Prophet Elijah (I manage him also) who will be releasing his new album “Kill A Day” by late December 2018 or early January 2019.
Soooo enough about me, how was your week? I would really love to hear…please share with us in the comment section.
