My daily routine is important to my growth

Today I acknowledge myself for creating a daily routine.

This puts me on the path to achieving top levels in health and wellness, self-confidence, financial success, building and maintaining great relationships, and overcoming adversities.

Prior to 2019, having a daily routine was never something that was on my mind.

There I was, thinking I was doing well. I really wasn’t accomplishing much. As a result, I had to stop and analyse myself.

My bad habits were causing me to feel lethargic, depressed, selfish and ineffectual.

I started to research ways to make me feel better. That’s when I came across terms like “morning routine” and “daily routine”.

I delved deeply into my new discovery and learned that most successful people have a daily routine that they developed to help themselves do well in all areas of their lives.

My mind lit up with this realization that I could feel better and serve others competently if I created a daily routine. I did just that! Since then my routine changed a few times, but I am now comfortable with the one I practice 7 days per week.

MY DAILY ROUTINE:

That’s me!

Sharing this to help others who can’t figure out how to change their bad daily habits is my deepest intention. Let’s talk about:

  1. My morning routine
  2. My midday to evening routine
  3. My night-time routine
  4. My mentor whose Miracle Morning routine inspired me

My Morning Routine

It is very important to me that I start my mornings being GRATEFUL for being ALIVE!!

Mornings begin at 5:30 am with prayer, devotion and meditation.

This I do to express praises and gratitude to the Creator and connect with my inner being.

After this 30-minute routine, there is a calmness within that I can’t truly describe. It’s a joy and I look forward to that feeling every day. I find that I am also more energized and ready to take on the rest of my day.

Followed by:

  • Work out for fitness
  • Daily affirmations and journaling
  • Light chores
  • Shower

Feeling energized, fit and fresh helps me focus on the job. I start 8 pm sharp Mondays to Fridays.

Since staring my daily routine, I am accomplishing much more than before. This is of great importance, as I love to serve the people I am committed to assist with digital marketing. The ability to share my views or information about health and wellness on my blog has improved.

There is also more time to make conscious plans to spend time with the community children/youths I serve on Saturdays.

My midday to evening routine

You are probably wondering when do I eat. I love to eat! Especially now that I am eating healthier and enjoy making meals from new recipes that I experiment with almost every day.

Omg life is so much fun!

I was never that person who eats early in the mornings and I still don’t. It’s just that in the past I wasn’t eating what is right for me. I will share foods I love to eat in subsequent posts. My first meal is usually at 12 noon and I try not to eat later than 8:00 pm. So, in all essence I practice intermittent fasting at least five days per week.

When the clock strikes 7:00 pm I am done working and ready for recreation. Mix and mingle baby, yeaaaahhhh!!!! I love to chat. Yep! If you know me well you know that I love to communicate with my relatives and friends. Hence my reason for creating Facebook and WhatsApp groups to check in with the important people in my life.

I like to hang out too. As a result. I make space in my routine to spend my evenings out with friends. Depending on how I feel after a day on the job.

My friends, make sure that you are not spending your time just working, working, working nor in seclusion. Keep in touch with relatives and friends. It’s good to just put the gadgets down at times and be in the company of people who you like being around.

My night-time routine

I love to catch up on the latest trends in my field, as well as increase my knowledge about the things I love. So at 9:30 pm I am comfortably relaxing at home with a book. I will immerse myself in it for an hour before I shower, then get ready for bed.

I also love to spend time reflecting to gain perspective on what I should acknowledge myself for, what I should have done that I didn’t do and what I can do better. Therefore, I spend a little time doing that, then shift right into devotion to give thanks to the Creator for taking me through the day. I then hit the sack at 11:30 pm.

Note that all areas of my daily routine, except work and recreation times, are 30 minutes long. You may be thinking that you do not have so much time to spend on your routine. What I recommend is that you break it down to shorter periods to fit your schedule or get out of bed an hour earlier. That way you give yourself more time. But please, please, please make sure you spend time daily to develop good habits.

There are times when my routine changes slightly at nights during the weekend for extended recreation or other commitment, but for the most part I stick to my routine as it works perfectly for me.

My mentor whose Miracle Morning routine inspired me

In this age of information, I constantly search the internet with the hope that I will get answers to solve my problems and come across some interesting people, who are impacting the world positively. One such person is Tom Bilyeu, host of one of my favourite podcasts, ‘Impact Theory’. Tom interviews some very outstanding people, who also are creating great impact.

One of his guests who stands out is HAL ELROD, a success coach, best-selling author of The Miracle Morning.

His book inspired me to schedule my days and develop good habits that will improve my attitude, help me achieve more in less time on the job, and to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with everyone who brings value to my life.

…ooohh I LOVE MY LIFE!

I was very impressed with Hal’s story and took on his miracle morning 30 days life transformation challenge.

Practicing the Life S.A.V.E.R.S. each day:

  • experiencing the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual benefits of Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing
  • feeling less stressed, more centred, focused, happier and more excited about life.

Now I am hooked and loving it!

I hope this helped you in some way. Please share it with someone else who you know need to create a daily routine. After all it is my wish for us all to be healthy, happy and wise.

If you have already created a routine that’s working well for you, kindly share with us in the comment section. You may impact the life of someone else who is struggling and will discover the importance of creating a daily routine.
