In other words, where do you see yourself in 10 years? I have often asked artistes this question in radio interviews and some readily share their 5- or 10-years goals. There are some who really don’t have a long-term plan though.
Having a plan (goals and milestones) for personal and business/career development helps us to be focused. It guides our actions to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and yearly milestones that put us closer to our long-term (10-year) goals.
If you have not yet made that plan, I recommend that you sit in a quiet space, make sure there is no one and nothing to distract you. Then think about exactly who you want to be and what you need to do to become that person.
Once you know what you want to do, making the plan is easier than you think. All you have to do is visualize them, write them down and stick to them.
Yes, I can tell you right now that you will always have challenges, but the key to achieving your goals is to never give up. Learn all you can, study people who are successful in what you want to accomplish. Be consistent, be persistent, compliment yourself every step of the way, be grateful to yourself and others who contribute to your achievements. Listen…have fun along the way. Just start!
I am sure you hear this almost every day, but doing nothing about it only makes matters worst. Take action now!
I wish you all the best in all your endeavours.
